Who cares for the Indian National Interest ?

One of the Oldest parties in India Congress and the recent BJP seems to be worried about the future and their strategies in each state. After Sri.Atal Bihari Vajpayee retired from Active politics, BJP seems to start fighting for the leadership and to figure out the strategies. He did quite good as the opposition leaders and critique of the ruling party. BJP also did good in some of the states in the north. They barely have a presence in south except Karnataka. The only (so called) leaders that we see from Andhra Pradesh are Sri. Bandaru Dattatreya and Sri.Venkayya Naidu. Sure that they have many challenges to strenghten the party at home.

In the recent Andhra Pradesh crisis, TRS came out to do so called liberation of Telangana people. In the event that everyone (including people, students, politicians, doctors, lawyers, business people, railway employees, RTC employees and others ) is requesting, pleading, begging for United Andhra Pradesh, BJP is one of the party that wants to split the Andhra Pradesh. Why ? Pretty simple rule, right... "Divide and Rule". They may be thinking that the split will at least bring them the Good Luck.

Indian National Congress is another very old party established in 1885 with the idealogy as "Social Democracy". Currently this party is lead by Italian-turned-Indian Mrs.Sonia Gandhi. Just the time everyone is satisfied and/or forming good opinions about the Indian National Congress, Sonia madam does the blunder of her life time. She really got overwhelmed on her Birthday probably. With out discussing the Andhra Pradesh split in State Assembly or Parlimant, she takes an autocratic decision to start the state separation process. Mr. Chidambaram announces it as though he did a big favor to Andhra Pradesh. What a movie plot right ?

So, how does National Congress benifit by this split. OK, that sounds to be very simple but hidden advantage. Andhra Pradesh has around 296 aseembly seats and Congress in its latest 2009 elections has won 158 seats and the rest of the major seats are divided between Telugudesam and PRP.
  • Splitting the state means, smaller parties will be gone or merged with major parties. In the Telangana state congress would see Congress as the major party and there are major chances that TRS will merge into Congress.
  • Andhra Pradesh has majority of representation in Parliment and till now, Mrs.Sonia or Prime Minister had some hard time to convince in some of the budgetery and operational issues. There are occasions that Sri.Rajashekar Reddy even took independant decisions in state.
  • Mrs.Sonia definitely knew that either Sri.Rajashekar Reddy or Mr.Jagan (his son) will pose a huge threat for their "Decision Supremacy". So, there was no way Mr.Jagan could become the CM.
  • Once Andhra Pradesh is split, the power of 296 Assdembly seats, 18 in the Rajya Sabha and 42 in the Lok Sabha is DEEMED to cease. That means, the state of Telangana and Andhra both are at the mercy of center for every thing.
  • Now the Center has to deal with two major powerful states in south india and after Split, it will only be Tamil Nadu. No wonder Mr.Chidambaram is so happy to declare startup process for the separate state.
  • Mr.Rahul Gandhi strategically travelling around the India and meeting all classes of people to know about their lives and problems. Splitting the states to smaller where Congress have major stakes, makes smaller states obligated to Center. That paves the way to elect Rahul as Prime Minister for the next time.
In the pre-independence era, we felt sad about the English (Britishers) that they used the "Divide and Rule", but now that's the same thing happening to India, Andhra Pradesh. Please be aware of this split and ACT.
